Prior to commencing any repairs on your truck or car, you must follow these steps:
- Book your car into a certified vehicle checkup station that specializes in body and frame repair, we can refer you (306-700-3524).
- Take clear photographs of your vehicle in the daylight, including pictures of the rear, front, both sides, damaged areas, and VIN number.
- Do a VIN search on your vehicle and bring the documents to the inspection
- Bring your truck in for the inspection, with proof of title (we aren’t allowed to start repairs we find on the vehicle without the owners permission).
- A filled out AOCRV (Application to Obtain Certification of a Rebuilt Vehicle)form must be completed if you are looking to claim insurance from SGI. These forms can be obtained at any SGI center, or any certified checkup station.
- The RVWP (Rebuilt Vehicle Work Plan) form then must be filled out and approved by the vehicle inquiry station. This form is available at the previously mentioned locations as well.
- Take your car to the structural integrity inspection shop (306-700-3524) for a final look-over. Once your truck gets a pass, they will present you with a certificate.

Mechanical safety inspections
A mechanical safety checkup determines if your truck is mechanically secure to drive. This is something we recommend to anyone buying a used vehicle. On top of the vehicle's mechanical safety, various other structural parts are inspected to make sure corrosion or damage to the frame is noted. These items are harder and more expensive to repair, but Mobile Mechanic Saskatoon (306-700-3524) can give great advice on how to proceed.
There are a few areas that aren’t part of our standard safety inspection, including the:
